Hooray! My Christmas is over for another year!
Last night was our family and friends yearly get-together to celebrate Christmas. There were 25 of us to sit down for a scrumptious home made meal. Gift giving and well wishing carried on until late evening when the weather got rather nasty, with high winds and blowing snow. As most of my family live quite a distance away, it was time for leavetaking and heading home for them.
Of course, few of my parties are without a touch of drama and this was no exception. 10:30 a.m. yesterday and time to prepare the turkey for roasting. I took it from the fridge, opened the wrappings and it was ROTTEN!!

It stank to the high heavens. It was then panic stations and a mad dash back to the grocery store 30 km. away to get a replacement.
All was well in the end and a wonderful meal was enjoyed by all.
I would like to wish all my friends on dA a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. Thank you, everyone, for your support, encouragement and friendship over the past year.


It is my intention to embrace the NNTR campaign. After my illness and the most wonderful award of a DD for Ol' Man Winter, it came home to me just how many lovely and friendly comments I receive. Unfortunately, between the two of those, it took me almost 5 days to get back to everyone. I'm afraid I do not have the stamina for that! Just a short while ago, I received a post from this site

I would more personally prefer to try to note you and thank you for any/all images that you faved/commented on in the past month.

3. I will not say, "You’re welcome", or "My pleasure", if you do thank me.
I’m not rude and was not born in a barn, nor raised in a pig yard,
but it’s just too much work with all the responses I get.
Just PLEASE know, that it IS my distinct pleasure in commenting on your work and faving it and it is genuine!
